Through
online assignments, skillfully planned to take the students on an unusual
journey through world of gerontology / geriatrics services, students will
investigate the needs of an aging population. The assignments will require them
to analyze specific areas impacting the needs of this population including
programs and services as they relate to health care, management of health care,
consumer issues, public policy, and familial relations. Case studies,
portfolios, interviews, and daily journals will help the students collect a
comprehensive body of knowledge on the needs and services of an aging
population. This body of knowledge will be a primary source for encouraging
students to become involved in a workforce focusing on the aging population. |
